Calling all aspiring young journalists! The Scholastic News Kids Press Corps is now accepting applications

Do you know a kid with a nose for news? Encourage them to apply to the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps! Kids ages 10-14 with a passion for writing and learning about the world around them should submit an application.

Our Kid Reporters have interviewed politicians, entertainers, authors, scientists, sports stars, and newsmakers. Recently, they've spoken to President Barack Obama, civil rights hero Ruby Bridges, entertainer Nick Cannon, Little League superstar Mo’ne Davis, and author Walter Isaacson. You can visit www.scholastic.com/news to read the Kid Reporters' stories.

The coming year will be an exciting one for the Kid Reporters as we look toward the 2016 Presidential Election! The Scholastic News Kids Press Corps was founded during the 2000 Election, and every election year the Kid Reporters inteview the candidates and cover the trail, from campaigning to inauguration.

The postmark deadline to apply this year is September 25, 2015, so interested kids can work on their applications during the summer break. For more information about the application, visit www.scholastic.com/kidreporters.
