Are your students the innovators of tomorrow?

Of course the answer is YES! That’s why Scholastic and BIC have teamed up to create the Writing the Future educational program and contest. Through SEL and ELA lesson plans and activities, students in grades K–6 will learn to use their critical-thinking and research skills to explore various ways in which innovation has helped their communities. Students are then encouraged to enter the Writing The Future contest, where they are challenged to identify a problem in their community and use their creativity to solve it!

Schools, teachers, and parents have a chance to win up to $25,000 in prizes! In addition to the Grand Prize winners, one student from each grade range (K–1, 2–3, 4–6) will be awarded prizes as well.

But don’t delay! The deadline to enter is March 12, 2019, so make sure to get those entries in. For more information, and to submit your students’ great ideas, please visit: http://www.scholastic.com/writingthefuture/. We can’t wait to see what the future innovators of tomorrow have to say.
