For me it's the connections &

For me it's the connections & friendships I have developed because of my love for Harry Potter. I can't afford to do a lot of things or even get the new books that have recently been released but it's that sense of wonder I feel when I'm around others who enjoy HP as much as me.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment might not be a Harry Potter moment but seeing Fantastic Beasts in theater which I saw TWICE and would love to see again was just an amazing moment to be put back into this amazing wizarding world!

My favourite Harry Potter

My favourite Harry Potter moment was when my ten year old son asked if we could read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone together. We read it in record time followed by all the other novels in the series and The Cursed Child. We then saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them together! My son is now a bigger Harry Potter fan than I am and we have bonded even more closely through our love of the magical world!

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment was going to a convention and listening to Matt Lewis talk about his time on Harry Potter. I got to listen to his thoughts on Alan Rickman's life and passing. And how he enjoyed working with Daniel Radcliffe the most. It was incredible to see him in person and listen to his memories of bringing Neville to life on screen.

My favorite moment was re

My favorite moment was re-reading the whole series yet again. Each time I read it I notice something new and even though this was my tenth time through I still noticed new things. This is the sign of a truly great book/book series. :)

When Fantastic Beasts opened

When Fantastic Beasts opened with the Harry Potter theme song and the Harry Potter WB logo. It was like coming home.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 was going to Universal Studios in CA.... IT WAS AMAZING!!! We spent most of the day there, forgetting the rest of the park lol Can't wait to go back!!!

My favorite HP moment of the

My favorite HP moment of the year was getting ready for Cursed Child. I read the entire saga again and finished the 7th book exactly the day before i got Cursed Child. It was a beautiful and significant moment for me.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment can't be anything but Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Not just the book, but the play. I spent a good few days deciding if I wanted to read the book before I saw the play, and I did read it before. It was a good book, and I think as a person who enjoys fanfiction I enjoyed it more than some. I'm glad I read it first, because it allowed me to appreciate the true beauty and masterful work that is the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play. Easily the greatest thing I will ever see in my entire life.

My favorite HP moment was

My favorite HP moment was getting to stand online for yet another Harry Potter related reason: Fantastic Beasts. I always meet the best people while waiting for a new movie or book and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I've been standing in lines for Harry Potter since I was 6 years old and I hope to continue to be able to do so until I can't stand any more.

2016 was a really great year

2016 was a really great year for Harry Potter. It was a really bad year for a lot of other things, but, as it always does, Harry Potter provided some bright moments. I got to attend (and help organize) a midnight release party for the script of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," which not only brought back happy memories for me, but allowed me to share Harry's magic with many young fans for the first time. I stayed up all night reading. I hope someday to see the play. The release of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" (and the exciting lead-up) launched a whole new era of the Wizarding World and man, it felt good to be back. But my favorite moment by far happened just last night, when I attended a Yule Ball hosted by Harry and the Potters to benefit the Harry Potter Alliance. For whatever reason, I've never really connected with Wizard Rock before, but I thought it would be a fun evening to spend with other fans. I was right. We danced to Draco and the Malfoys and laughed at a live version of Potter Puppet Pals. But the real magic started when Harry and the Potters began their set. Already there had been many references through the evening to the venue as a safe space, but as they played through their set, songs that had once been tongue-in-cheek references to a fictional world became songs of resistance. "These Days Are Dark," "The Weapon (We Have Is Love)," and "Cornelius Fudge Is An Ass" took on new meaning in a room where everyone feared a Trump presidency and what it meant for ourselves, our families, our friends, and the world. When asked from the stage what to do in the face of the patriarchy, racism, sexism, transphobia, and bigotry, the crowd - dressed in robes and scarves - roared "Wands Up!" They bellowed the words to "Dumbledore's Army" like it was the last thing they'd ever do: We don't care what the Ministry tells us / We won't be left defenseless / We're in command, we're taking a stand / We're gonna learn this year/ We're gonna get ready / We've got to prepare to face our biggest fears / We're gonna learn to fight, to battle / To stand up for what is right. Harry Potter empowers people. And we’re going to need that power in the days to come.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter Moment of 2016, is showing in the picture on my home page. My daughter and I got to spend time together, take a well needed break and saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to find Them in 3D. Unfortunately it was hard to pay attention cause someone brought not two-but 5 screaming kids in the movie. My favorite characters are Queenie and Jacob, and the little Bowtruckle. After the movie just like when we watch the HP series at home we talk and dream of the Wizarding world. I dreamed of taking my daughter on the Fan trip one day but for 15yrs my promise to take her even to the FL or LA Wizarding world of HP has been haunting me. Because I got really sick and lost my job several years ago &now I can't even find a job. I can't even get her a gift this year. We were able to enjoy the movie cause she has a part-time job and goes to college. If it weren't for my daughter we would be homeless and hungry. So I want to win this for her not myself. She deserves it more than me. Her name is Starr. In the pictures on my page there is her alone and then she is trying to push me back in the case.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment from the year would hands down have to be going to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with my two friends. I was excited the whole way just for something magical even if all this happened before Harry Potter happened. I was leaning forward in my front row seat with such excitement on my fave the whole movie and as soon as it ended I was eager and ready for the next one! I also loved reading the screen play it made me so happy because J.K. Rowling wrote it. I love Tina and Newt together! Quennie and Jacob are so amazing too! Can't wait til midnight November 16,2018 so I can watch the midnight premier! I am a Fantastic fanatic forever!

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter memory of 2016 was dressing up to go to the book release of the Cursed Child. When I was younger my mom used to take us, and it was one of my favorite traditions. I'm glad I got to do it again as an adult.

My favorite moment was going

My favorite moment was going to go watch fantastic beasts and where to find them with my family after a stressful week at work and school. The movie really put me back to hope and made me remember how magical and amazing the wizarding world is!

My favorite HP moment was

My favorite HP moment was watching our daughters read, no, devour The Cursed Child in a day, then it came into my hands and finally into my husband's! An exciting shared read for our family.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment was when my heart started softening toward Draco while reading about him as a husband and father in Cursed Child.

I began reading the Harry

I began reading the Harry Potter series when I was about 13. At age 30, this past summer, I finally got to attend a midnight release party!

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of the year has been being able to share the magic of Harry Potter with my second grade class. It's a hefty book, and it is occasionally hard to follow for students that young. With the illustrated version of Sorcerer's Stone, my students are having an easier time following the plot, imagining the characters, and are excited to think through the character's actions with each other. The excitement and joy that I can see on their faces when it's time for read aloud and I pull the book off my shelf is just what makes a Harry Potter lover/teacher happy.

My fave moment has been

My fave moment has been teaching my students about Harry Potter and having them be interested in it. While I can't teach the books, I don't stop the students from reading it. We have great discussions about the books after they reach a certain point. It is a great way to connect to students.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment is a toss between the midnight countdown release party and my kid's Harry Potter themed birthday party where we went to hosgmead, hogwarts, and played quidditch!

My Favorite Harry Potter

My Favorite Harry Potter moment is continuing re-reading the Harry Potter series only this time read it to my 20 month old baby girl as a bed time story. I want to introduce the magical world of Harry Potter to all my kids and that includes my 10 year old boy, 20 month old baby girl and soon I will introduce it to my soon to be 5 month old baby boy. Hopefully one day they will introduce it to their kids if not hopefully grandma will be there to read it for them.

I am a HUGE Dan Fogler fan, and I got so excited when I found out he was going to be in Fantastic Beasts. It's my favorite Harry Potterverse moment of 2016!

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 was introducing my son to the Harry Potter universe through the beautifully illustrated "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment was finding all of the Harry Potter books in Spanish to gift to my cousin in Mexico!

Had to be when the Cursed

Had to be when the Cursed child came out! I couldn't pull my eyes away from the book. I was so excited and shocked during the whole time I read it. I was super excited when Magical Beasts came out too! Oh, I cannot choose one lol! Just the fact that the story continued and expanded was so exciting for me! I love this magical world JK has shared with all us. ❤

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 would be taken g my daughters to watch Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them, I love bonding with them over a shared love of anything Harry Potter, we don't get very many moments like that anymore cause they are growing up, one is 19 and a college sophomore and the other is 17 and a high school senior

My favorite 2016 Harry Potter

My favorite 2016 Harry Potter moment is the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! I also visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the first time this year with my husband for our anniversary!

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment would be convincing a family of 6 to dive into the magical world we all know and love! I started dating my boyfriend a little under 2 years ago. His family are HUGE Starwars fans... and I was shocked to hear that they had never watched Harry Potter! I grew up reading all of the books- even before the movies were created. I started reading Harry Potter when I was in 3rd grade! Mind-blown and confused about how a family who likes fantasy and adventurous movies had never seen this FANTASTIC tale - I set out on a mission to get them to join the wizarding world! With all of the conflict around Harry Potter being considered witchcraft, this particular family had never even opened up to the idea of watching/ reading the series. Over the past year I have worked to let them know how much I love the characters and the story line! I have shared my books with them, and let them expierence the amazing characters, creatures, and stories that Harry Potter has to offer! I am so excited to say that my boyfriend has new seen all of the movies, and on Thanksgiving Day- as a family- we all went to see Fantastic Beasts! After the movie they told me they wanted to go out and buy all of the Harry Potter DVD's ! I was able to take a family who didn't believe in the magical world and who thought it was 'witchcraft'. What an exciting Harry Potter moment! Having 6 new witches & wizards on board!

My favorite moment was

My favorite moment was watching Newt try to catch the Niffler.

I think my favorite Harry

I think my favorite Harry Potter moment this year was probably when I first saw a full trailer for Fantastic Beasts - I got chills! The magic was back.

Story time! No one was a

Story time! No one was a bigger movie buff than my dad, especially when it came to sci-fi. He loved watching films, and it was a major way we bonded when I was a kid. My dad bought me my first Harry Potter book, the very weekend it was released. He started me on something that became my entire childhood, and obsession to this day. I remember the moment like it was yesterday... So some might call it fate that Fantastic Beasts was released the same day I buried him. It called to me, and I had to go see it, no matter the circumstance or how upset I was. When we got to the theater, there was and open seat right beside me, and I knew he was there watching along. I became emotional in the beginning, but was able to get through it knowing not only did I have my wonderful husband to my left, but my dad to the right. It was an awesome film and I know he would've loved it❤

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 was helping to plan a birthday party for Harry at our local library. We had so many activities and treats. It was magical. :-)

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of the year was buying The Cursed Child and staying up all night to read it like when I was younger. It brought back great memories! I also loved that I gifted my niece the illustrated version of Sorcerers Stone for her birthday with hope to fill her life with magic the way it did for me.

My fav moment was discovering

My fav moment was discovering the books for the first time ever with my 8&9 year olds. I'd never read them before, but reading them aloud at bedtime has been a treat--a testament to the power of the stories.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment from 2016 is when the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was released. All the bookstores from my area had Harry Potter decorations and all the seven books. There were advertisements for the book and I was really excited to buy it. I also remember that channels on TV were putting the Harry Potter movies.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of the year was when I decided to read the books again but this time I wanted to listen to them and there was a magical moment when the author read the first lines of the Sorcerer's Stone that just made me feel like I was going home.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment from this year had to be my experience in February, when I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at a Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. I had always wanted to go ever since it had opened, so my parents gave me the chance of experience what it was like to be a true Wizard and took me as a graduation present. I had never felt more at home than I did in Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and Hogwarts. It was truly a magical experience I will never forget.
