My favorite moment this year

My favorite moment this year had to be finally receiving Cursed Child in the mail. The excitement of getting a new Harry Potter book delivered took me back to my childhood when I waiting in line at midnight releases to get my hands on the latest volume in the series. It may not have been the same kind of adrenaline rush you get from being in an ecstatic crowd of people all just as excited as you are, but the wave of nostalgia that overcame me was just as powerful as any crowd could be.

Reading Harry Potter and the

Reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child outside at restaurant, blissfully alone & sipping a cocktail while on a work trip. It was heaven!

Magical moment when I took my

Magical moment when I took my picture as a prisoner frame at my favorite local bookstore Sandpiper. Wands, maps, costumes and music from the movies made the experience of receiving Harry Potter and The Cursed Child magical. I have attended every Harry Potter release party. Each one more exciting. The engery, the wonder of each person's face and the power that reading has brought to my life. The World of Harry Potter brings you to kids of all ages. That day will always be special to me.

I think my favorite HP memory

I think my favorite HP memory of 2016 was sharing my love of HP with a friend who had never read the series or seen the movies. She is now on book 4 and has seen movies 1-3! :) I love reading the joy that HP gives me and just talking about it with friends.

My favorite Harry Potter moment was finally convincing my husband to read the entire series. He is currently on book 5 and we've watched the first 4 movies. Now we're just waiting for him to wrap up the whole series so we can watch the rest of the movies. I can't wait for the Harry Potter discussions we will have in 2017!

If we have to choose a favorite moment from http://oomscholasticblog.com/post/10-best-harry-potter-moments-2016 My favorites would be those specifics: 10. New writing from J.K. Rowling on Pottermore. 5. The cover reveal of the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and its release in October. and 2. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! My personal favorite that I experienced about Harry Potter this year, would be the "Harry Potter Magical Ball" held by Barnes & Noble on December 9. My favorite moment with Harry

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment this year would have to be seeing Fantastic Beasts. My husband and I were lucky and got to see it Thursday night since my mom was able to babysit. This was our last date before I give birth to our second son and since I will be nursing it will be a while before we are able to go on a date again. It was a really special date night and we both fell in love with the wizarding world all over again. We watch Harry Potter with our little one all the time so I was really excited to see the movie in theaters and not having to wait until its on DVD.

My favourite Harry Potter

My favorite memory is from our trip in may to universal studios Harry Potter world.my grandson got a magic wand and was using it to stop the rain and it worked!! Imagine a 4 yr olds surprise.the crowd was clapping and his smile was sooo big.

I dressed up as Rita Skeeter

I dressed up as Rita Skeeter and hosted a midnight release party for THE CURSED CHILD. Here's a summary of the night's festivities: Act 1, Scene 1 Saturday, July 30th, 10:30 PM. It's a beautiful, moonlit summer evening. Assorted magical folk and muggles of all ages gather on the sidewalk in front of Water Street Bookstore in Exeter, New Hampshire. They greet one another, chat, take pictures. There's a lot of laughter and wand waving. Bookstore owner Dan Chartrand emerges onto the front step and enthusiastically welcomes the crowd to the Midnight Release Party for HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD. The crowd goes wild. After thanking folks for supporting the bookstore and admiring the impressive array of costumes, Dan introduces the evening's special correspondent, Rita Skeeter, who basks in the limelight/her self-importance for a few moments and then plunges into the crowd in search of a juicy story. The crowd does not disappoint. Rita Skeeter: OOH look who we have here! Bellatrix Lestrange herself! How about an interview? Me, myself, and I want to know, what was it like growing up with that insufferable show off Sirius Black as your cousin? Bellatrix Lestrange: Ugh. It was absolutely awful. He was always getting me into trouble. Rita Skeeter: And your dear sister Narcissa. No sibling rivalry there, I'm sure. Bellatrix Lestrange: (glaring) No. None at all. (Rita's Quick-Quotes Quill scratches furiously across her notepad: "Mummy always liked Narcissa best...") Bellatrix: Hey, that's not true! I didn't say that! Rita: Soooo nice chatting with you, Bellatrix dear. Must be off, Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall are just dying to have a word with me! ****** For the rest of the evening, the bookstore was abuzz with excitement as the 150+ partygoers drew patronus pictures, found their way through a maze, colored dragons, tried to one-up each other with their knowledge of HP quotes and trivia, visited the photo booth (courtesy of Azakaban Prison), helped themselves to lovely poster, pin, and temporary tattoo giveways, and enjoyed lashings of Butterbeer, Polyjuice Potion, Gilly Water, Molly Weasley's Secret Recipe cookies, cupcakes emblazoned with Hogwarts house colors, and "Dementor's Kiss-Away" chocolate kisses. They left lovely, heart-squeeze-y messages on the "Tell Us What Harry Potter Means to You" Muggle Wall: "Harry Potter was my childhood and will always be a part of my future." "Friends, love, and stories matter." "Harry Potter helped me when I was the kid in the cupboard under the stairs." "Harry Potter brought back my childhood and it continues in my love of Young Adult fiction." "Harry Potter was a friend in a lonely time, and helped me better understand myself." "The world of Harry Potter is an evergreen world that will never fade in my imagination." And with mounting excitement they paid for their book orders, took their places in the queue, and awaited the countdown to 12:01 AM. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... "Ladies and gentlemen, HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD! *wild applause and cheering* All was well.

I love everything Harry Potter!! My favorite thing this year was just sharing the anticipation of the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with my 22 year old son. We've gone to all of the movies together and re-watched them all at least - a billion times!! LOL.

My favorite moment was taking my daughter to see Fantastic Beasts for her birthday!

My favourite Harry Potter

My favourite Harry Potter moment this year was being able to read the Cursed Child the first time - everything about it felt magical and I can picture how amazing it would look on the stage. My other favourite moment was being able to see Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them two times! It was like seeing one of the Harry Potter films all over again but this time it was a complete different era! I loved all of it. It was amazing to see new faces in the film as well. Eddie as Newt was adorable as well! I loved all the Harry Potter things that have happened this year. I am a major Harry Potter fan and plan to have a 21st Harry Potter themed party. This would be a dream to win this giveaway! I really cannot wait to see Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them again & I also can't wait to see The Cursed Child on stage - hopefully sometime in the future. Thank you for reading! :)

Reading the books for the first time with my 7 year old. He's a huge fan now and hoping for a very Potter Christmas.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of the year was starting to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to my7 year old. We are planning on taking the family to Universal Studios for his birthday and before we go (and even before he watches the first movie!) I wanted to be sure my son had the reading experience first. It was great watching him look over the pages so carefully (illustrated version); and it was awesome hearing all the questions as he wanted to understand more. I believe it has been a wonderful way in creating the next Harry Potter fan in our household.

My favorite memory is reading

My favorite memory is reading "Sorcerer's Stone" to my class as a read aloud and starting a new group of Potter fans.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment from this year is being able to witness a whole new story. 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' was a great addition to the Harry Potter universe. I became a fan after the movies aired on ABC Family, so being able to finally see a similar movie in theaters was awesome! I was glad to be brought back into the wizarding world, but with fresh eyes. The movie was a great way to give viewers a look at what happened before the reknown Harry Potter's time. On top of that, I received a free wand for seeing that showing. Nothing could make me feel more wizard like.

My husband and I introduced

My husband and I introduced our 5-year-old son, Eli, to the magical world of Harry Potter! We read through the first (illustrated) book with him and he is officially a fan! He is getting book #2 for Christmas... we can't wait!

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 was the moment when my 10 year old son named Colin started reading the first book in the series. It was time for him to go to sleep and when I told him to stop reading and go to sleep he said "No mom! Please! Just a little bit longer!" . This may not seem like much of a moment but for Colin it was a huge milestone. Colin's struggled with reading as of late and he never wanted to sit and read a book, let alone enjoy it. I loved that Harry Potter was able to capture his imagination and transport him to the magical world of reading (and wizardy). So my favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 is when Harry Potter taught my son a love of reading and all that a great book can do.

We have had a great Harry

We have had a great Harry Potter Year! My 5 year old son and I have been reading and listening to books on disk and are now on Book 6. We went to Hollywood for our summer vacation and spent several days at Universal Studios visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We then had Silas' 6th birthday party in September with a Harry Potter theme. We created Honeydukes with Chocolate Frogs, Held Hogwarts Courses for the kids including Potions Class, Magical Creatures, Beat up a Dementor Pinata, ate a Quidditch Game Cake with a flying Harry Potter.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment this year was the fact that a new movie and book was coming out! My family loves the movies and books!

My favorite HP 2016 moment

My favorite HP 2016 moment was realizing my son has developed better inference skills than I from reading the series. (and I'm a reading teacher)

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moments from this year was when the screenplays to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them came out. I heard a lot of negative feedback about the Cursed Child, but when I read it myself, I loved it. I loved the plot and the characters. Fantastic Beasts and where to find them was an excellent read for the same reasons.

My favorite Harry Potter

My favorite Harry Potter moment of 2016 was the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in book format.
