America the Beautiful: 1 song, 10 illustrators

The Broadway window at The Scholastic Store is bedecked in red, white and blue thanks to a new picture book – America the Beautiful.

Using the words of the beloved song, it showcases the work of 10 illustrators. Each of them brings their own talents and style to a line of the song. With illustrations by Jon J Muth, Mary GrandPré and more, the resulting book is just gorgeous!

Appropriately for Monday’s Inauguration, each page also includes a quote from one of our presidents including George Washington, Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama. You’ll also find a poster of all of the presidents on the back side of the jacket!

There are national icons like the Liberty Bell and Mount Rushmore on every page and a guide to these monuments and symbols in the back.
