Kid Reporters cover the debates!
By Kristen on October 3rd, 2012
This evening kicks off four weeks of Presidential and Vice Presidential debates, which will help viewers at home decide who they will vote for in the upcoming Election. Just as they have been there since the early days of campaigning, the Scholastic News Kid Reporters will be on the scene to cover each of the four debates!
Tonight, Jenna Winocur will be in Denver to cover the first Presidential debate — for a primer on this evening’s broadcast, check out this article from the Scholastic 2012 Election site!
In the following weeks, we’ll have Kid Reporter Ben Frigon covering the Vice Presidential debate in Kentucky, Kid Reporter Leila Sachner at the Presidential debate in New York, and Kid Reporter Topanga Sena at the Presidential debate in Florida. If you’re interested in checking out their stories, be sure to visit www.scholastic.com/election following the debates for updates!
Also, don’t forget that there is still one week to vote in the Scholastic Student Vote! Kids under 18 can cast their ballot for the next President of the United States after they check out the Kid Reporters’ stories on the site!
