Big news: Scholastic’s social media is tops!
By Morgan on September 20th, 2012
We received some fantastic news this morning! Digital Book World has just released a new dashboard that showcases publishers’ social media efforts. For starters, we are thrilled that Scholastic comes in in the #1 spot the “Industry Portfolio” section! We have quite a few social media accounts (as a reminder, you can check out all of them right here) and it looks like our combined efforts to communicate with readers and educators around the world (like you!) is making an impact as we all work together to share news and tips about books, education, and parenting.
And in equally exciting news, we have a host of Facebook pages that made the top 100 list, including three in the top 10 and eight in the top 20! Both of our Hunger Games pages (The Hunger Games and The Official Hunger Games) came in the top two spots (no surprise there — those are some passionate fans!), while our Scholastic Book Clubs, Scholastic, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Scholastic Parents, Scholastic Teachers, and This is Teen all broke the top 20.
Other Scholastic-owned pages included in the top 100 were The Magic School Bus, I SPY, WordGirl, Scholastic Book Fairs, The Baby-Sitters Club, and the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards!
It’s probably pretty evident that we LOVE talking with all of you on our social channels. Every day, you make us laugh, make us think, and remind us that getting every child to learn to read and love to read is what it’s all about. Thank you!
