Pitting cats vs. dogs for a good cause

Cats vs. Dogs. Which side would you pick? Me, I’m definitely on team cat (along with several other OOMers here).
This school year, we’re encouraging kids across the country to get excited about reading at home by joining a team, reading at home, and logging minutes with Paws for Reading. Here’s the best part: For every 20 minutes logged, Scholastic Book Clubs will donate a book to a child in need – up to 250,000 books!
With the new Common Core standards emphasizing the importance of reading for children, Paws for Reading helps parents and teachers motivate their kids to read for at least 20 minutes a day, every day at home through a fun challenge of two teams—the Cats and the Dogs. Kids join a team at www.scholastic.com/paws, log the minutes they read each day and contribute to their team’s total minute count. The team with the most minutes will be determined on December 14, 2012.
There are fun printiables for readers and great resources for parents and teachers. Just creep like a cat or jump like a dog over to their site to get started.
Which team are you on?
