Teachers, sign up for Clifford’s birthday webcast starting today!

By on August 6th, 2012

Our beloved Big Red Dog, the one and only Clifford, is turning 50 this year! Starting September 24, we’ll be celebrating his big anniversary, all throughout the school year, and we have so much going on that kids and adults can join in on. Find more details here.

But first things first: starting today, teachers can register for the live Clifford webcast!

On September 24, 2012, at 10:00am ET, Scholastic will host ‘Clifford’s BIGGEST Birthday Party Ever’ – a LIVE celebration at Scholastic’s New York City headquarters and webcast to classrooms nationwide. Children attending the live event and joining via webcast will get to participate in some BIG birthday fun!

Teachers, you can have your classroom participate in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Clifford (along with thousands of students around the country!) while participating in activities and lesson plans that reinforce social-emotional, literacy and language skills. It’s a great opportunity for students in grades K-2! There’s even a webcast event kit that will help make Clifford’s birthday a big hit in your classroom!

Stay tuned for even more Clifford events, activities, giveaways, and more as the anniversary kicks off in earnest next month. We can’t wait!

I would like my class to be part of this celebration but I am not able to get the link to load… it says “server error.” Is there another way to sign up? Thank you

Hi Erin! We’ve been having some site issues over the past few days. They’re being worked out, but in the meantime, I know it’s frustrating. Please keep trying — the site should be running normally soon!
