Letter from the editor: Infinity Ring’s Nick Eliopulos reveals some secrets!
By Guest Blogger on August 15th, 2012
I’m Nick Eliopulos, editor of Scholastic’s exciting new multi-platform time-travel adventure series, Infinity Ring.
In the epic seven-book series, readers will learn that history is broken in ways large and small. The capital of the United States is Philadelphia. Abraham Lincoln’s face does not appear on Mount Rushmore. Christopher Columbus didn’t survive his daring voyage across the Atlantic Ocean.
Three kids have a chance to set things right. But it’s not going to be easy.
It’s an awesome premise with an awesome creator behind it. The series mastermind is superstar author James Dashner, who brings his trademark blend of action, suspense, and humor to the first book, A Mutiny in Time — on sale in two short weeks. But why wait two weeks to see what the series is all about?
One of the most exciting things about Infinity Ring is that each book comes with two complete adventures — one that you read, and one that you play. The Infinity Ring game allows kids to participate in the story in a whole new way. They’ll have to fix Great Breaks in history while exploring immersive, detailed historical settings, from 1792 Paris to 1814 Washington DC to . . . well, I don’t want to give it all away just yet.
So while you’ll have to wait until August 28 to read A Mutiny in Time, you can log on today – right now! – for a hands-on, playable sneak peek of the game. I think you’ll be amazed as you see Revolutionary Paris come to life in all its dangerous glory. Meanwhile, kids will learn history by living history. And they’ll have fun while they’re at it. Check out the sneak peek at infinityring.com.
It’s just the start of big things. I’m totally psyched that James Dashner will soon be touring across the U.S. and Canada to promote Infinity Ring. Please note the tour schedule and event details are subject to change at any time. For event rules or for more information about the events, please contact the bookstore directly — and find complete tour details here.

But for now, it’s all up to you:
Fix the past.
Save the future.
And have fun!
