In Our Feeds: Clifford, architecture inspired by the alphabet, and vintage book ads

Every Friday, we share a handful of links we found interesting, provocative, funny — or just plain cool. We call it In Our Feeds. Have a good weekend!

Happy Friday! Students are heading back to school and Lia found this interesting article about an unusual ad campaign to keep students from leaving for private schools.

Clifford is turning 50 next February, but the celebrations start in September (a big celebration for a BIG dog!), so start the party at one of the fun events going on.

More than 120,000 English-language books are being donated to the Asia Foundation’s Storytime campaign, a program to get picture book to kids in need in Asia to help them learn to read.

Dante brings us a cool collection of Original Vintage Advertisements for Classic Books.

Having trouble transition from print to ebooks? There’s a cool way to transfer your beloved print books to your ereader!

Megan would travel to around the world from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam to Shanghai to see this cool alphabet-inspired architecture.

She also discovered this is a sad truth: Teachers spend up to $1,000 out-of-pocket on school supplies for their classrooms year. That’s $1.3 billion total!

Let’s kick of the weekend with this fun piece Alex found amazing art done with ballpoint pens!
