 The Freedom Tower stands tall

The Freedom Tower stands tall

By on July 4th, 2012

As we celebrate the Fourth of July there are many iconic symbols that shower our nation—most notably the American Flag. However, there is another iconic symbol that my New York-based Scholastic colleagues and I get to see on a daily basis—the new Freedom Tower.

If you have ever visited The Scholastic Store, then you know Scholastic Headquarters is located in downtown Manhattan in the heart of Soho—which means we have a fantastic view of the new Freedom Tower. I thought, since we are celebrating the Fourth of July, you all would like to see a picture of the amazing view we get to see daily from the Scholastic Greenhouse Terrace.

The World Trade Center will be completed in 2013 and will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third-tallest building in the world.

Have a have a safe and happy holiday!
