Andrew Jenks, the award winning-filmmaker and host of MTV’s popular series World of Jenks, will publish a new autobiography with Scholastic in March 2013!
Andrew Jenks: My Adventures as a Young Filmmaker is an all-access pass—personal stories and anecdotes, Jenks’ own photographs and images of memorabilia, and inspiring life lessons. This book is an opportunity for fans—old and new—to learn more about the man behind the camera, from the influences of his family and his life abroad to how he became a world-renowned documentarian.
“This book is a personal look at the wild, outlandish, and dangerous journey my life has been documenting people of all walks of life. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work with Scholastic and share my cherished experiences with the rest of the world,” says Jenks.
Andrew Jenks rose to fame with his innovative MTV documentary series, World of Jenks, where he lived the life of a different person (a homeless teen, a teen with autism, a rapper, an NFL cheerleader, and more) in each episode. The World of Jenks premiere garnered 4.8 million viewers, marking it MTV’s highest rated series launch. The second season of the show is set to premiere in fall 2012. Jenks is also a correspondent for MTV’s 2012 election campaign, “Power of 12.”
