It's finally here: the Summer Challenge! Think kids will break the world record for reading again?

In Our Feeds: Bellyflop contest, birdhouse libraries, and YA characters all grown up

In Our Feeds: Bellyflop contest, birdhouse libraries, and YA characters all grown up

Each Friday, we share a handful of links we found interesting, provocative, funny — or just plain cool. We call it In Our Feeds. Have a good weekend!

Jess had always wondered what happened to her favorite set of Twins from Sweet Valley High, she she was thrilled to see this article on classic YA characters all grown up!

Nadia shared this adorable video of a three-year-old girl chanting “I can do it!” while she scales the inside of a doorframe. A+ for positivity and determination, but don’t try this at home, kids!

Forget writing application essays! Alex suggests that we enter this bellyflop contest for college scholarships instead!

Megan sent along this great collection of an illustrator’s depictions of Harry Potter characters in the books vs. in the movies! And as a bonus, she also shared this piece on the tricky little semicolon!

I love these beautiful and abstract photos of light. The talented photographer who took them used no digital alterations to make the photos look this way — just the light available!

How cute! Lia found this story on Little Free Library, a non-profit that builds birdhouse-like book boxes in public places and encourages people to “take one and leave one.” She also sent this gem of an infographic from AWeber that tells us how teens communicate and what they would do if their favorite channel of communication disappeared (the horror!).
