International Sushi (monster) Day!
By Alex on June 18th, 2012
Growing up at the Jersey Shore and coming from a family of fishermen, I have always had the luxury of having fresh fish almost year-round, so when I heard it was International Sushi Day I was just a little bit excited (can anyone guess what I will be having for dinner tonight?)!
Not a fan of sushi? Not to worry, you can still celebrate National Sushi Day by practicing your math skills—yes that’s right, your math skills. All you need is an iPad and you can download Scholastic’s newest FREE math app, Sushi Monster. You may have heard of the app as many students and teachers have already been gobbling it up! But beware—it’s super addicting!
The Sushi Monster Chef will serve you a variety of sushi (you don’t have to eat it) containing numbers that will challenge your deep understanding of math facts. But don’t get distracted, if you combine two wrong numbers the Sushi Chef will be quick to toss his fresh sushi all over the place! With Sushi Monster, math has never tasted so good!
Click here to get Sushi Monster now from the iTunes Store.
