It's finally here: the Summer Challenge! Think kids will break the world record for reading again?

What we're reading this summer

What we’re reading this summer

By on May 28th, 2012

What do you get when you inflate a giant beach ball in your company’s cafeteria, give away free lemonade and Hawaiian leis to employees passing by, and invite Word Girl to come hang for the afternoon?

A long list of great book suggestions.

Huh? But really, that’s exactly what happened. Along with the lemonade and leis, we also passed around Sharpie markers and asked our colleagues to write the book they plan to read this summer on said giant beach ball. The result is a diverse list of titles from a group of smart, creative people—editors, marketers, online producers, publicists, and more. What a way to kick of the Scholastic Summer Challenge and celebrate the awesomeness of books.

Here are just a few of the results. Maybe it will give you some ideas!
