A workout for your brain!

Happy Brain Awareness Week! That’s right, all week people around the country are celebrating the brain with all sort of fun activities. If you want to get in on the action and honor one of your body’s most important vital organs, why not exercise your noodle with some puzzles and games from Scholastic and Klutz that will really get you thinking.
If you love search-and-find books, Made You Look from Klutz and I Spy Spectacular from Scholastic are a great way to give your brain a workout. Made You Look is an eye-catching compendium of picture puzzles that will keep you visually amused for hours. I Spy Spectacular celebrates 20 years of Walter Wick and Jean Marzollo’s popular I Spy series. In I Spy Spectacular, new riddles from Jean Marzollo are paired with thirteen of Walter Wick’s photographs from the classic I SPY vault to create a spectacular search and find.
Why not play with a partner and go head-to-head (or brain-to-brain) with a one-on-one challenge! Me vs. You from Klutz is two books designed to be split into two hand-held pad-and-pencil sets, one for you and one for a partner. Pick an activity, flip to the corresponding page in each pad and it’s on!
Jump starting your brain isn’t all puzzles and games, it’s about creativity too! Start thinking outside of the box with the Klutz Book of Inventions! The brilliant, zany minds at Klutz and IDEO came up with 162 never-before-seen contraptions that are brilliant, useful, and ridiculous. Laugh-out-loud over a tricycle-lawn mower, a helium-filled hide-a-bed and then come up with your own!
