Rowling‘s fan base is. (We are, too!) Today we’re all buzzing with the news that Rowling has written a new book — this time for adult readers!
Little, Brown will publish Rowling’s first novel for adults. The title, date for publication, and further details will be announced later in the year. Looks like 2012 will be another exciting year for book lovers! Check out the details from The New York Times, MediaBistro, and TIME Magazine.
For those of you wondering what it will be about, Rowling said, “Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series…” She continues, “The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me…”

In September 2008, Scholastic released a 10th anniversary edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I was given to understand that there would be subsequent releases on the 10th anniversary of the other books in the series. There have been no others. Does Scholastic plan to release these?
