It’s scary how excited we are to announce that Goosebumps author R.L. Stine,  will host a two-hour live chat at 1 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, Oct. 28 on our Facebook Page and Twitter! R.L. will take over Scholastic’s social media, posting frighteningly fantastic prompts, jokes, and trivia, and answering fans’ ghoulish questions. Every time I think about it, flashbacks to my childhood come racing back…

*cue flashback blur*

I grew up with R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series. My favorite book from the series was You Can’t Scare Me. Ironically, I always got scared and couldn’t read the book alone so I would convince my friend, who was equally obsessed with Goosebumps but much braver, to read it with me. We’d take turns reading each paragraph out loud, and sometimes we’d read the dialogue sections using different voices. We were the nerdy types. I get it. I’m ok with that.

Friends and I also loved watching Goosebumps episodes on TV. After we finished our homework, we would tune in to the show and roast mini marshmallows on a chopstick over a candle. It gave the whole experience a more “we’re camping and listening to spooky stories by the fire” feel.

*cue flashback blur*

I’m sure you have lots of memories like mine! And now you get to ask R.L. some serious, hard-hitting questions on Scholastic’s social media: What scares him? What’s the best Halloween costume he’s ever seen? Does he like pumpkin pie? I need to know!
