The winning artist is…
By Morgan on June 13th, 2011
In just five days, more than 25,000 votes were cast in our Read Every Day. Lead a Better Life. art contest, in which the public submitted their own interpretations of our global literacy campaign slogan, inspired by the 12 illustrators who did the same.
In addition to the 25,000+ votes, we saw hundreds of tweets and Facebook comments from people raving about the beautiful submissions.
And now, we are thrilled to announce the winner…
Huge congratulations to Roberta Baird, whose submission garnered the most votes in a tight race to come out on top!
Roberta wins a deluxe, signed set of our incredible #12artists posters.
Meanwhile, more congratulations and thanks to the remaining finalists, who each pulled in hundreds and thousands of votes themselves — and who also created inventive, beautiful pieces that captured our Read Every Day message:
- Michelle Henninger
- Eliza Mitchell
- Noni Gross
- Julia Bourque
- Ann Pilicer
- Brenna Vaughn
- Peg Lozier
- Erika Schnatz
- Airlie Anderson
It was so much fun seeing the entries come in and watching as the call to vote spread across the globe. Thanks to each of you for voting for your favorites!
Congratulations!
