Junior Scholastic goes digital!

Did you read classroom magazines when you were in school? I remember flipping through issues of Scholastic News and Junior Scholastic as a kid and finding them a welcome addition to our textbooks!
Fast-forward more than a few years and kids are still reading magazines in classrooms today, but in a totally new way. Last year, Scholastic News magazines introduced Scholastic News Interactive, an online extension of the magazines. Now, Junior Scholastic, our social studies magazine geared toward grades 6 through 8, has a great digital version as well that is available for free all summer long for teachers, parents, and students!
The digital features take the reading experience to a new level by integrating video, photo slide shows, student polls, vocabulary pop-ups, and more into the existing magazine content. The digital issues are whiteboard-ready, so teachers can easily log in and use the content as soon as they pass out the print copies in class. There are even separate teacher and student versions of the magazine, and students can access their copy at home as well!
For a great way to keep kids informed about the news during vacation time, be sure to check out the free preview here between now and the end of August, and keep your eyes open for more great digital previews of our other magazines this summer!
