Seatbelts everyone! Hop online for a wild ride with the new The Magic School Bus website

Today we have a guest blog post from Melissa at Scholastic Media who has some very “WAHOO!” news to share with us. Take it away Melissa…!
We’re super excited to share with you that The Magic School Bus website just underwent a tremendous redesign and now has a FRIZtastic website that can truly compete with its zany humor. With fans of all ages, and from parents to teachers, The Magic School Bus website has to be a one-stop destination for all. Mission accomplished.
Teachers and Parents have their very own page with party kit materials, lesson plan ideas, information about the Traveling Magic School Bus and answers to commonly asked questions. Kids can spend hours on the Games and Activities page, featuring a number of exciting (and shh…educational) games, science experiments, printable coloring sheets and more. Of course, no page is off limits. In fact, parents might find themselves spending more time “testing” games for their children than anything else!
You can also easily access the Books or TV & DVD pages, whatever serves your needs. My favorite part is when you click on Themes at the top bar to check out our Thematic Index. It’s an easier way to search and to find everything you need right at your fingertips. You can choose from a number of themes, including insects or dinosaurs, maybe both (whatever floats your “bus”), and select the exact content format you’d like to see (for example, Books, Activities or Science Kits).
On the homepage you can also choose an adventure with The Magic School Bus by selecting the environment you’d like to travel through during your visit. Wander along on Land, travel under the Sea or go deep into Space. Put the petal to the metal and drive the bus through these environments as different pages will appear along the way.
The Magic School Bus website will offer you a BUSFUL of content and adventures. As Ms. Frizzle would say, “Get out there and explore! WAHOO!” And if you’re in New York on October 16th, be sure to visit The Scholastic Store in SoHo (557 Broadway) to meet The Frizz as part of The Magic School Bus Comes to Town FREE event!
We’d love to know what you think of the site and if there’s one particular Magic School Bus adventure that really made its mark on you – share with us in the comments!
